I have not posted anything for well over a year. I guess the question is, "Do I really need to blog?" I guess it's an online journal. Do I have anything interesting enough to put down into writing?
Perhaps I'll give it a try (again).
The most recent event here in Greenville was a small winter storm over the weekend. It began with a few snow flurries, then some sleet, then finished off with freezing rain. The result was about an inch of wintery junk that rendered travel almost completely impossible. So, this Wisconsin girl was stuck in the house for nearly 48 hours because of one inch of mess on the ground. Our house is built on a hill and the ice kept us at home, unable to move vehicles down or up the icy slopes which were formerly driveways.
The worst part was having to cancel a Quartet trip on Sunday. There just was no safe way to move the bus or cars for that matter from our house until about 10:30 Sunday morning when the sun finally began to melt away the ice. Today is Tuesday and a steady rain has almost finished off the rest of the ice around.
On the positive side, it was a great time to enjoy some much needed family time. Terry's been super busy with his oil business so the kids really enjoyed us all being together!
So, there you have it. My first blog in over a year. I guess, for now, I'll decide to blog (once in awhile) :)
